Dubai bilaterals exhausted, Akasa gets nod for Saudi, Kuwait & Qatar

Akasa, a new Indian airline, has been granted flying rights to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Qatar for international operations this winter. However, the airline will have to wait to start flights to popular destinations like Dubai, as the bilateral agreements for those countries are already exhausted. Akasa must apply for designated airline status from the Indian government, and once approved, can apply for slots at the airports of other countries.
