Pakistan notifies hike in LPG price by PKR 20 per kg, domestic cylinder price touches PKR 3079

Pakistan's Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased the prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs 20.86 per kg, adding to the burden of rising inflation in the country. The domestic cylinder price has also been hiked by PKR 246.15. This comes after Russia delivered 100,000 metric tonnes of LPG to Pakistan, with talks underway for a second shipment. Pakistan's inflation rate remains high at 27.4% due to reforms and the IMF loan programme, making it difficult to control price pressures.
