Russian artist Alexandra Skochilenko has been sentenced to seven years in jail for allegedly replacing price tags with anti-war messages in protest against the Ukraine war. She was found guilty of disseminating false information about the Russian Armed Forces. Despite pleading not guilty, Skochilenko was given a seven-year sentence and a three-year ban on using electronic or information networks. Amnesty International's Eastern Europe and Central Asia Director condemned the verdict, stating that Skochilenko was trying to expose Russian aggression against Ukraine.
