Billions of insects are set to emerge after a 221-year hibernation

Billions of periodical cicadas, including Brood XIII and Brood XIX, are preparing to surface in the United States after a two-century absence. Wisconsin is one of the states on the brink of a significant bug infestation. These noisy insects, known for their unique life cycle and loud clicking sounds, will fill the air for approximately a month this year.
